Books are a uniquely portable magic. Here, I have talked about books many times in my articles and videos and how important it is to read books. As we know that we get our maximum knowledge by reading and as much as we read it will increase our knowledge. Every successful person has once in his life told that book reading has changed their vision to see the world. Warren Buffet who is now in his 90s every day read at least 200 to 300 pages every day.
So in this article, I will tell you 10 books that you should read in your life and if you are in your twenties you will enjoy them.
1. Tuesdays with Morrie by MITCH ALBOM (Philosophical Fiction)
Tuesdays with Morrie is such a beautiful book that will leave an amazing impression if you read it, this book will show you the true value of life. In this book, a person name Morrie spends his Tuesday with a person and it tells you what they learn in this process. It is like Morrie is an extremely lovable college professor who—in his late sixties—finds out that he is dying. Very beautiful book you should read.
2. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by MARK MANSON (Gener self-help)
It is such an important book by Mark Manson that in your life if react to everything that is not even important then you will spend your life just reacting. You will not be able to observe and experience anything calmly. The meaning of “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*uck” is that it is not necessary to react to everything which is not important and what are the things in which you should react, This is a book that challenges the conventions of self-help by inviting the reader to NOT try, say no often and embrace negative thinking. Not giving a f*ck is about being comfortable with being different and caring about something more important than adversity.
3. The Alchemist by PAULO COELHO (Novel, Adventure Fiction)
A very beautiful book and a successful book by Paulo Coelho around 75 million books are sold. This book mainly tells us that the thing which is important to you is something that lies within you, it is an amazing story through which this lesson is told. If you are in your twenties you should read this book and you will enjoy it.
4. How To Win Friends And Influence People by DALE CARNEGIE (Self-help)
How to win friends and influence people is a best-selling book by Dale Carnegie, which is on the top rank for many years. It is such a practical guide that teaches us how is it that you can make friends? how is it you can influence people? and these skills are how much important in our life. As these skills are very important and the only book you need to lead you to success.
5. Quiet the power of introvert by Susan Cain (nonfiction)
Quiet by Susan Cain is a very good book for introverts. Many of us are introverts we don’t like to socialize and people use and take all the energy within us; people say that only extroverts can be successful but this book demystifies the entire thing and says that every introvert has a power within them and if they know the use of that power they can be successful and this book give the games of that power. So I highly recommend it to you if you are an introvert.
6. Wait How Do I Write This Email by Danny Rubin (self-help)
Writing Cold Emails is such a skill through which you can contact someone who doesn’t know you but you know them and want some favor, internship, mentorship, recommendation, favor, funding, request for a meeting, or guidance and it is a such a powerful skill to know; if you know to write cold emails to that person who doesn’t know you and you want to get their attention. That is something that you will learn through this book, especially for the 20s.
7. Linchpin by Seth Godin (self-help)
This book tells us how you can become indispensable in your work or your life. Often when we do some work and the same work is done by someone at cheaper, faster or better then you will be replaced. But there is something in our work or in life for which we can’t be replaced like a linchpin. What is Linchpin, in a big heavy machine there is a small and the most important part without which the machine will not work? That who you want to be is not necessary to be a huge part but a small important part and this book tells you how you can be like a linchpin.
8. Start With Why by SIMON SINEK (self-help, business)
Start With Why is Simon Sinek’s mission to help others do work, which inspires them, and uses real-world examples of great leaders to show you how they communicate and how you can adapt their mindset to inspire others yourself. Simply it means that people in their life don’t have the answer to why they are doing or running behind a thing or the success they want, they always stick to what and how but don’t try to answer why. Through this book, you will come to know why is it important to ask the question why. So if you are in your twenties it is highly important.
9. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki (Personal finance)
Rich Dad Poor Dad is a modern classic of personal finance. Although the book is controversial and often takes criticism, people still believe it’s worth reading. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have sold over 32 million copies. Robert Kiyosaki tells the story of his two dads in his childhood. His own father and the father of his best friend. While he speaks affectionately of both, they were very different when it came to dealing with finances.
I started the journey of books reading from this book and I was in deep thinking for at least 3 days that how excellent this book is. I highly recommend this book to every person.
10. Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel (Personal Finance)
Psychology of Money is a books that teaches us how money work. The Psychology of Money explores how money moves around in an economy and how personal biases and the emotional factor play an important role in our financial decisions. In our life schools teaches us how to earn money but don’t teach us how to use money, this book will provide you with the knowledge of money and as well as how to think more rationally and make better decisions when it comes to money. Highly recommended if you are in your twenties because we start earning from our twenties.
